The Purpose:

The Wide 6 is a newer small wave retro-fun board. The 6-channel bottom gives you plenty of speed in slower conditions and also provides a bit of bite to hold you in place where other wider tail boards may slip out. Also check out the Wide J 6 while you're here.

What is the volume on the 6’8” “Wide6.” On this it says that all of the volumes are 10 liters so you got a typo. I am looking for a point break board for chest to shoulder high waves. I am old now t 67 so I need something that gives me lots of flotation and stability on my takeoffs. I would rather have a shorter board instead of riding longboards. Have been surfing constantly for over 50 years now, but at this age I just need a little help with at least 50 liters in my board. Is this the way to go or do you have a better suggestion?

Also “The Solution” looks really good and appears to have enough width at its widest point and in the tail that it could give me the volume I am after. What would the volume be on a 7’ 6” ?

Hey Jack. We don't have the Volumes for this model yet. If you want to email adam@boardcave.com, include your height, weight, fitness level and waves you mostly surf, he can look some choices including the what size Wide J6 would work well. In the meantime, we will work on getting these volumes posted.

Could this be shaped in a 7’ so that we wouldn’t have to go so wide or thick as the biggest 6’8” stock board and still come in at about 50 liters?
