Beach Break Waves

There are many different types of Waves that are surfed at any given time. Beach Break Waves are probably the most common as the average surfers has access to a wide variety of beaches nearby where they surf. Beach Breaks are more or less defined as waves breaking over a sand bottom at an open faced beach.

The beach break can be some of the most fun waves to surf, but also the most challenging. Depending on the tide, direction of and period of the swell, as well as local wind conditions, your local beach break can be really good, or really bad. Some conditions can be easy and playful, great for beginners, while at other times they can be really hard to surf and dangerous...for experienced surfers only.
