Gary McNeil does all customs so when the board arrived it wasn't exactly what I imagined, but I knew to trust the master as I have another board from him, so I just started using it without a second thought. I have the thruster version and have been blown away at how amazing it is in the average beachbreak conditions I got it for. It is really fast and turns with precision in critical situations. At certain points in the ride it feels like the board kicks into a higher gear and I have been flying over sections that I'd usually end the wave on. One thing to note is the board doesn't seem to like tiny fat waves - I really have to nurse it through turns and be measured with my pumping to eek out a ride - still an enjoyable experience though. I have not reached the limit of how big it can handle I've had it out in waves well overhead and was totally in control. A couple of times I have been able to just turn the board onto a wave while I'm paddling back out and take off without even a paddle just push the nose down the wave and away you go. This board really filled the hole I had in my quiver and exceeded my expectations in the beachbreaks I ride it in.
