Great board for medium conditions, a nice turn on the edges and quite easy to get speed. Good responsiveness and not to heavy on the lip. Overall a nice board to cruise and to have a good session on mesium small size waves not too powerful.

This board is crazy fun, especially when the waves are sub par. Personally, I am a fan of the Black Baron in punchyish smaller beach break (Ocean Beach, SF when small). Even when it is sloppy and onshore this is my go-to. If you are considering this versus the new Red Baron, I would 100% go with this board. The paddle power is good enough to get into smaller waves and the speed generation off the epoxy and V in the tail is crazy fast. I would recommend some upright performance twin fins, as it lets the board get speed and keeps it a little tighter. The stab Black Baron joyride review gives a really great overview that I 100% agree with. Overall, ride the board from 1-5 foot surf, especially during the summer/spring. Exceptional pop, release, and maneuverability - I cannot recommend the Black Baron enough.

Super fun board! amazing in smaller waves on point breaks and surprisingly well in solid days out on the points, id totally recommend. 5 star board and service
