Shaping since the age of 19 and buying his first shaping machine in 2007, Shaper and owner of Nation Surfboards, Ryan Engle has immersed himself in all aspects of modern shaping. Located in the hills of San Clemente, minutes from world class breaks like Trestle, Sano, T Street, and Salt Creek. Ryan honed his shaping skills under the wing of the legendary Steve Boehne at Infinity Surfboards as he hand-shaped over 5000+ boards within his first 5 years. Over that time, Ryan formed a keen eye for templates, bottom contours, minuet rail details and fin placement, all skills that are essential for any successful surfboard manufacturer.

The Pink Champagne on Ice is a board designed to get you into the wave and flying down the line. The wide point forward a touch coupled with a rounded pin tail makes for a fast barrel machine. Throw in a set of quads or ride her as a single fin.
Hollow waves ranging around 3 to 6 foot give or take. The wider outline with pin tail and option for quads or single fin, makes this board versatile in the way you ride it...one thing for sure though, she loves the barrel.
Flash back to the 80's the Ric Kane Pro is an unbelievably fun yet functional board. Taking a traditional outline with medium full rails, hip to squash tail and mandatory glass ons, this board makes any condition throw-back fun. Named after the lead role of the classic surfing movie "North Shore".
Anything from 1 foot to head high, the Ric Kane Pro from Nation Surfboards is a board made for pulling throwback lines and Occy style cutbacks. "When the wave breaks here, don't be there"
A great choice for an everyday groveler, Nation Surfboards the Los Dos is a great addition to your quiver. The low entry rocker combined with the twin performance keel fin set up mean you have an extremely fast board that is easy to paddle. The flat deck and stepped rail combo allows this board to sneak a lot of hidden volume that is thoughtfully placed throughout, while the deck concave in the back half of the board keeps your center of gravity low as you lay into turns.
The Los Dos by Nation Surfboards is designed with a mushy wave in mind, but the template, bottom contour and fin set up make this board a blast in higher performance waves up to head high as well. You can order this board as a square tail, but volume drops slightly to give you a little more performance characteristics.
The Cool Story is the high performance model in the Nation Surfboards range. It's Slender outline, pulled in squash tail, low rocker and deep dish single keeps this board fast yet loose for the more experienced surfer.
