The Shiitake is the ultimate performance fish board. The nose of the board is flat enough for a great amount of glide whilst paddling, and the vee concave that runs out of the vail helps to keep this board very maneuverable. The Shiitake performs best in waves shoulder high + and has been designed to be ridden as a Twinzer. The Twinzer fin layout is the same as a regular twin but with the addition of smaller side bite type fins that sit in front and closer to the rail line. The idea behind this is that the smaller leading fins break the water before the larger fin giving the board a more lively feeling noticeable when making tight arcs. You can also configure the Shiitake in all other fin layouts and it will work well.
