He is originally from the Gold Coast, Australia and learned the trade from worldwide known shaper Darren Handley (DHD). Frankie started the brand in Costa Mesa, California where he gained interest in alternative shapes.Thread Designs offers good quality yet affordable surfboards and soft tops, like the popular Foamie, and soon they will be making accessories too.
