The
74 model by
Pyzel Surfboards is the 2016 Stab in the Dark Winner chosen by
Dane Reynolds. With a lower rocker, this model is nice and drivey when surfed in good conditions. The
74 is taken off
The Bastard, just with a fuller rail and more vol through the centre. It has a single concave all the way through, and a nice continuous curve, made for high-performance surfing in good waves, at beachies, reefs, and down the line point waves.
Dane noted the
74 is best suited for 5-foot tubes and cutbacks. He felt this model is a 'more drivey, down-the-line' point break board.
