The wider round tail is great for stability and manoeuvrability.

Provides easy rail to rail transition. Should have paid more attention to the engine and got it a little bigger, went 27.5 litres and should have got more like 30 litres.

At this size, this Monster is a fantastic option for the bigger surfer. It takes off and turns really well and has tonnes of speed especially in bigger surf. I prefer this board to my DHD 7'0 Monster which is also a great board. I've only down rated the quality a little as the base has started to get fine cracks around it. I love this board

I find the buoyancy the thing I like the best. I'm a pretty heavy bloke for my size. I've been surfing a long time so I really enjoy having a board that works in lots of conditions, this one does that well and really allows me to work sections of the wave to the best of my ability. I'm happy also because it allows me to improve my surfing style against having to work harder these days as I'm a lot older (and not as limber) and so this board gives me a little advantage while staying short and fast to keep me locked onto the wave where I need to be...no slow down. :-)

Ordered a 5’10 sweetspot for my trip to the mentawais. It was my go to board for when the waves were 3-6ft. Couldn’t believe how well the board holds so you don’t have to worry about your board sliding out when the waves get bigger or when putting it on rail when carving. Goes sick in the barrel too. Surfed it from overhead HTs to 3ft burgerworld and the thing went sick. Definitely a board worth having in your quiver!

Great board, loves to cave and holds good in the larger stuff.. Defiantly made for the 3 foot plus days with a good bit of curve on the face. Struggles in smaller mush as expected. But in the good clean stuff come to life.

It's early days. The board is fast and goes vert well. I'd prefer more drive off of the front foot and rail and to a related point, there's surprisingly much more paddle power than they give it credit for. It's very responsive going rail-to-rail. It could use a tad more stability but once you figure out where your feet go it's much more predictable.
