I mostly ride a longboard, but when waves get too big this is my go to board. I tried it out as a quad when the waves were smaller and my pop up was too slow for it to really work for me. I ride it as a thruster with FCS Sally fitzgibbons fins when waves are head high and it works great. It doesn’t paddle as well as my 72 L longboard that’s why I gave a 4 out of 5, but it’s fast and stable and it turns when and I where I want it to turn. I think if I lived at the ocean instead of the Great Lakes this would be my every day board.

I mainly surf west coast of New Zealand waves in 2-6ft beach/point breaks. This board is solid!! I've owned it for 1 year and use it 2-3 times a week. It still looks like new. I did get a deck patch to help with this and would recommend it. I honestly can't think of a board I would go back to from this.

This is my first shortboard, and I am absolutely loving it. I was hesitant at first because the nose is narrower but it is surprisingly very user friendly and easy to paddle. Turning on the phantom feels so crisp. I have been pushing this board into bigger surf and it hold its own. Only downside I see to this board is it seems very fragile, but i guess thats is just something you give up for a board that feels this great

Great paddle power, especially with extra bit of foam towards the nose. Ride it as a quad and feels pretty skatey, but can lean hard into bottom turns without feeling like it's going to slide or skip. Rocker is super flat, wish I had gone even shorter

Great board for smaller, mushier conditions but also works well up to head high. Easy to manoeuvre and plenty of speed through flatter sections. My go to board in knee high to shoulder high waves or in bigger, fatter waves.

Absolutely 5 stars. I purchased my Ghost specifically for the cold, big(ish), full-on wetsuit Winter days...and perhaps the ofd hurricane swell of the Fall. At 6.2 and 200lbs (before the wetsuit goes on) and 60+ yrs old, I wanted, and got, paddling power, drive and stability which the ghost more than delivered. My only suggestion would be to slim down the rails just a bit...would sacrifice some volume for added grip on steep drops and carving turns but trust me when I say that is speaking more to my own limitations than anything to do with this well-balanced board. fcs2 Accelerator Large; typically set up as a quad

I’m 5’9 and 160 lbs. My first board was a Torq Summer 5 5’10, 38L. I needed to upgrade to something smaller that would allow me to start proper manœuvres. Bought the round tail Pyzel Phantom 5' 11" x 19 3/4" x 2 1/2" - 31L (used Boardcave volume calculator) and I am delighted with my purchase! First session was difficult but once tamed this board is amazing. Quick to react in turns and very fast down the line, the hardest part for me is probably the paddling due to my positioning on the waves. I’ve been working on my technic on a surfskate in order to progress faster with the board. The combination of both got my friends to start complementing my surfing for the first time. I mostly take the board in 3 to 7ft waves. So far couple of pressure dings despite XTR tech but the board seems really sturdy. Would highly recommend that board!

This is one of the most versatile boards I have ever ridden. It can drop into steep, heavy waves with a ton of stability. The med/low front rocker allows for plenty of speed in smaller waves while the higher back rocker allows for nimble responsiveness and clean turns. This is my go-to board because it helps me feel confident in all kinds of surf!
