The Black Baron twin is so fun! I rarely take out the thruster anymore, it’s my go to board in any condition. I’m running the JS FCS II Power Twin fin setup. Handles over head waves with ease. Easy paddler, and has lots of drive. Order your board a few inches shorter than your normal shortboard. You won’t be disappointed. The best thing about it is you’ll have more fun and you can still do your progressive moves or just lay back and throw some style into it. You may even be leaving your thruster in the closet too.

Seems to go best in small waves with good push. Suits twin fin plus trailer. Can surf it in bigger waves with a stiffer thruster fin.

Got the HYFY version in 5"5, couple more liters than usual volume. Set up with Power Twins + trailer. What was supposed to be my groveler for small days has turned into my favorite allrounder. It shines in small surf, and flies in good conditions. When conditions are clean, it doesn't mind a bit of size and curve too. I surf it confidently in well overhead hollow conditions here in Bali. It paddles into waves too easily, and turns on a dime. I've also tried the PU in same dims, and the HYFY is def more lively. Chop isn't too much of a problem either, surprisingly for an epoxy construction. Fin wise, I've tried it as a tri and quad but to me it feels magic as 2+ 1. This board should be in every quiver. It always puts a smile on my face. I'd be keen on trying the Black Baron too, but I feel the versatility of the Pyscho is hard to beat with fin placement options, and honestly, I love the surfing it allows me to do on it for such an easy shape. 10/10, just buy it, you won't regret it.

Paddles like a dream! Catches everything that you’d miss on another board. Really maneuverable and responsive. You can create speed out of nothing and get through flat spots or get around sections with ease. Haven’t surfed it a whole lot yet so I know it’ll only get better as I dial in how it should be ridden.

I love this board. It paddles great, feels locked in on the face, releases easy and has good hold for big turns and cutbacks. The extra volume doesn't hold you back. Excels in chest to 2 ft overhead conditions. Struggles in steep, barreling conditions, and big slightly messy surf.

It’s definitely a great every day board when the waves are more than 2 ft. EPS makes it a very light board that is easy to turn. I had the most fun in small, hollow conditions. Only downside is that it has some quality issues and won’t last very long (mine had two yellow spots on the rail and that’s exactly where it broke in 2ft conditions and without radical maneuvers). In conclusion I’d still say it’s a great small wave performance board but you need to check it extremely carefully in sunlight, especially the rails before you go ahead and buy it.

Fun board. Goes rail to rail with ease and feels really solid under your feet. It does need a wave with a little push and is not the best paddler but once you’re into the wave it picks up speed quickly and does everything well.

I mainly surf west coast of New Zealand waves in 2-6ft beach/point breaks. This board is solid!! I've owned it for 1 year and use it 2-3 times a week. It still looks like new. I did get a deck patch to help with this and would recommend it. I honestly can't think of a board I would go back to from this.
